When a trustee board or facilities committee approves a cleaning contract, insurance coverage is not a formality — it is a real requirement. A contractor without adequate coverage leaves the church carrying liability for injuries or property damage that occur during a cleaning visit. We carry the coverage appropriate for commercial cleaning operations in Minnesota, and we provide documentation on request.
We carry general liability insurance appropriate for commercial cleaning operations. This coverage applies to property damage or bodily injury that occurs during cleaning visits. A certificate of insurance is included with every written quote and can be provided directly to your board, your property manager or your denominational office if required.
All crew members who clean your facility are covered under workers' compensation. If a crew member is injured on your property during a cleaning visit, your facility is not the responsible party. This matters particularly for volunteer-heavy faith communities that may not have thought through the difference between an independent contractor and a bonded, insured crew.
Our cleaning staff are bonded, which provides coverage in the event of theft or dishonesty by a crew member on your premises. Faith facilities often have donation boxes, office cash, AV equipment and personal items left in pews or classrooms. Bonding is a baseline expectation for any professional cleaning contractor operating in an occupied building.
We have been providing cleaning services to commercial and faith facilities in the Twin Cities area for 23 years. A contractor with two decades of operational history has dealt with claims, schedule disruptions, staffing changes and client transitions. The processes we follow now are the ones that held up over time.
The longevity also matters for your board's documentation. When you can show a trustee that the cleaning contractor has been in business for 23 years, the due-diligence question about contractor stability answers itself.
